What are Biostimulators?
Biostimulators are FDA approved compounds injected into the deep layer of the skin called the dermis.
Unlike dermal fillers which simply inject volume, biostimulators work by stimulating new tissue growth, helping the skin naturally produce its own volume.
It is comprised of microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel, so it gives an immediate volumising and lifting effect.
In the long term, it triggers natural collagen and elastin formation around the spheres resulting in further skin quality improvements.
Sculptra
Sculptra activates your skin’s natural power to revitalize collagen production for a more youthful appearance.
Sculptra is formulated with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a unique treatment due to its ability to gradually stimulate collagen. Results can last for up to two years.
Radiesse
Radiesse is an injectable filler that contains calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA). These particles integrate into the skin to create a scaffold, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.
This results in the smoothing of lines and the promotion of a renewed skin structure for natural-looking results. Radiesse results last about 15 months.
